Our Story
Joyboy was born from a simple but powerful belief: education and community work should be effective, sustainable, and joyful.
After years of working behind the scenes in nonprofits. Building programs, chasing grants, juggling timelines, and putting out fires we saw a pattern: incredible missions were being held back by burnout, lack of structure, and disorganized execution.
So we decided to change that.
What started as one person helping nonprofits run smoother quickly turned into a full-service operation. We built a system to take nonprofits from idea to impact.Designing programs that are not just fundable, but actually fulfilling to run.
Today, Joyboy partners with nonprofits across the country to create programs that attract funding, run efficiently, and make a real difference in the communities they serve. We believe every good idea deserves great execution and we’re here to make that happen.

Josh Bowers is the founder of Joyboy Management, a company built from grit, heart, and a deep commitment to helping others build what they imagine.
Born and raised in Belton, Texas, Josh’s foundation was laid at Belton New Tech High School. A project-based learning school where creativity, tech, and teamwork were the norm. There, he learned to lead projects, master digital tools like Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, and bring ideas to life through storytelling.
But his entrepreneurial journey began when life hit hard. After his mother was given a year to live due to a stress-related illness, Josh turned pain into purpose. He started reading a book a week, dove headfirst into business, and began selling Kool-Aid gummy bears to support his family, earning $100 a day in high school.
Just ten days after graduating in 2019, Josh moved to Oklahoma with $160 and a trunk full of clothes. He slept on the floor for over a year, worked as a valet, and eventually broke through his social anxiety to enter car sales. By 19, he became the Internet Sales Manager at Jackie Cooper Nissan, leading a team of over 30 people and breaking department records during the pandemic.
His shift from sales to service came through his work at the Black Wall Street Chamber of Commerce. There, under the mentorship of the late Sherry Gamble-Smith and Lindsey Corbett, he helped shape the Nest Collective accelerator. Graduating 80+ entrepreneurs, with over 60% reporting increased revenue or operational capacity.
When that chapter ended, Joyboy Management was born. Since then, Josh has led program design and management efforts for local institutions like My Brother’s Keeper Tulsa, the African American Leadership Academy, TEDC, and restaurants like Oishi Sushi & Ramen.
